For us, deciding to cut the cable cord wasn’t easy. There were many times I thought about turning our cable TV back on because we hated missing live sports – especially during football season. We are huge Pittsburgh Steelers fans in our house, so missing a game is a really big deal.

What a GREAT way to save money watching TV. I'm so glad there's a cheaper way watch my favorite shows without paying for cable. #CutTheCord #CableTVAlternatives #MoneySavingTips

But when I heard about Hulu with Live TV streaming service I didn’t hesitate to sign up for a free trial.

So today, I’ll cover our experience using the new Hulu Live TV streaming service and everything you need to know before you subscribe.

Here’s my honest Hulu Live TV Review

If you’re not already familiar with Hulu, it is the #1 place to watch thousands of TV shows and movies online.

When you subscribe, you get access to full episodes of exclusive series, classic favorites, Hulu Original series, current episodes, kids shows, hit movies, and tons more to stream on your favorite devices.

But Hulu with Live Tv is a newer service you can subscribe to and in my opinion, it’s the best alternative to cable – making it perfect for people (like you!) looking for a cheaper way to watch Live TV.

How many Hulu Live Tv Channels do I get?

Hulu Live Tv comes with 50+ top Live TV and On Demand channels for sports, entertainment, news, and more!

Some of the most popular networks in the channel lineup include ESPN, CNN, Disney, Cartoon Network, Food Network, and HGTV, though local channels vary by location.

Plus, you still get unlimited access to the entire Hulu streaming library and you can add-on premium movie channels like HBO and Cinemax!

How much does it cost?

When you sign up, Hulu Live Tv is free for one week, then $39.99 per month. Your subscription includes:

  • 50+ Live and On Demand Tv Channels
  • Unlimited access to Hulu streaming library
  • 50 hours of cloud DVR storage for recording LIVE Tv

It’s definitely not one of the cheapest Live TV streaming services out there, but it’s legit, 100% legal, reliable, and it’s still way less than what you’ll pay for cable TV or satellite. So no more paying for channels you don’t even watch.

Plus there are no contracts (yay!), hidden fees, or special equipment to rent. And you can always cancel or downgrade to Hulu without Live TV at any time!

What You Need To Get Started

Before you can start watching you’ll need a high-speed internet connection and a supported device like Fire Tv Stick – that’s it!

Here’s a list of other supported devices:

  • Mac & PC
  • Apple (iOS 10 or newer)
  • Android (5.0 or newer)
  • Roku
  • Fire Tv & Fire Stick
  • Apple TV (4th gen)
  • Chromecast
  • XBOX One & XBOX 360
  • and Samsung (select TV models).

Keep in mind, you can only watch on up to two screens at a time.

So if you need to stream on multiple devices at the same time, you can upgrade to watch Unlimited Screens at home so everyone can watch Live TV whenever they want!

Final Thoughts

I have to admit, I never thought we’d ever find a better alternative to cable that fits our budget.

My kids love watching their favorite cartoons, my husband can now watch live sports all season long, and I get to catch episodes of my tv shows when they air. Everyone wins!

So subscribing to Hulu Live Tv streaming service was one of the best moves we could’ve made.

We’ve been using it for a few months now and we haven’t had any buffering or lagging issues. I seriously cannot recommend Hulu Live TV enough!
